Applying this preset writes these five fields onto your project. Every one is editable after you apply it.
- Style
- A whitewashed, sun-bleached vernacular descending from Aegean and Andalusian villa traditions, simplified for contemporary use. Volumes are stacked cubic forms with thick load-bearing walls, small deep openings on hot exposures and larger ones on shaded elevations, and flat or shallowly arched roofs. The language prizes thermal mass, shade, and a generous outdoor room. The register is restful, sun-warm, and coastal.
- Scene
- The space sits on a gentle hillside above a Mediterranean coast, a stone terrace spilling out toward a low parapet that frames the sea. Olive trees and rosemary grow from terraced rocky soil; dark cypresses stand vertical against the white volumes. A pebbled path climbs from a wrought-iron gate. Whatever the openings frame is bright sea, dry hills, and silver foliage.
- Lighting & Atmosphere
- Bright warm afternoon sun, slightly diffused by sea haze. Color temperature is warm but clean, with intense direct light on the white walls and crisp, sharp-edged shadows from deep reveals. Highlights bounce off the limewashed surfaces back into the shaded loggias. The atmosphere is hot, fragrant, and slow, like a south-facing terrace at three on a late-June afternoon.
- Materials & Textures
- Limewashed plaster in warm white, faintly mottled by age and recoating, leads the palette. Terracotta tiles in faded brick-orange run in long courses; solid timber doors and shutters are olive green or weathered cobalt. Floors are local terracotta polished soft by use; sills and thresholds are honey limestone. Wrought-iron grilles on lower openings are matte black.
- Entourage & Activity
- Warm white, terracotta, olive green, and deep-navy accents carry the palette, with sun-bleached wood and silver-green foliage. Real terracotta pots of bougainvillea, dwarf olive, lavender, and herbs sit beside the openings. A person may tend one of these actual plants, read at a long table, or be absent; a cat sleeps on a low wall. Any marker is hand-glazed ceramic tile. The mood is quietly luxurious, natural, and familial.
