Choose between a still-render workbench and a broader design suite

Choose CAD Scene when

Architects who already model elsewhere and want Create, Enhance, and named-region Edit with shared Project Composition.

Choose Luw.ai when

Designers and homeowners who need interior or exterior redesign plus browser floor planning, 3D generation, video, or API.

Pressure test the actual brief

Compare the task after the first image

Use one source view for still rendering, then test the breadth that separates the products.

How does one composed model view become a review image?

Luw.ai

3 steps

  1. Open Render AI and upload the 3D screenshot.
  2. Choose a style or prompt the intended result.
  3. Generate, then inspect the image against the source.

CAD Scene

3 steps

  1. Open an Enhance study and attach the screenshot.
  2. Apply the Project Composition and choose Render settings.
  3. Generate options, compare them in the Feed, and revise if needed.

Decision point: Both accept a flat source image. CAD Scene adds shared Project Composition and a study record around the still.

Where CAD Scene fits

CAD Scene is a focused architectural still-render workbench. Create, Enhance, and Edit share one Project Composition across separate studies.

That structure suits architects who already model elsewhere and need a clear review record. Named Edit regions, Presets, versions, model choice, durable jobs, and free Lanczos 4K stay around each image.

  • Keep one visual direction across several project studies.
  • Choose an image model and its native settings per render.
  • Return after tab close to server-side render jobs.
  • Review named local changes without rebuilding the whole image brief.

Where Luw.ai fits

Luw.ai covers a broader home and design workflow. Its tools span interior and exterior redesign, sketch rendering, local image edits, image-to-3D generation, video, and conversational guidance.

Luw.ai Studio goes beyond still images. The official page describes an editable, measurable 3D floor plan, furnishing, walk mode, CAD export, rendering, and project sharing in one browser surface.

  • Choose it when floor planning and editable 3D are part of the task.
  • Use the brush editor for one selected image area.
  • Use 3DGen when the deliverable includes an exportable 3D asset.
  • Consider Ultra when API access is a procurement requirement.

A screenshot companion is not a model-aware plugin

Luw.ai describes a macOS screenshot companion for capturing regions. The reviewed official pages do not document a native Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, or Blender plugin that reads active model objects and materials.

Both products can begin from flat images. Luw.ai additionally offers its own browser 3D Studio. Choose a direct CAD or BIM plugin when active-view model context is the deciding requirement.

Luw.ai pricing and output rights need a plan check

As reviewed on August 4, 2026, Free provides two daily credits. Unused daily credits do not carry over. Free output is 512×512, watermarked, and limited to non-commercial use by the current product and pricing copy.

Pro is listed at $19 monthly for 200 renders. Max is $39 for 500. Ultra is $79 for 1,200 and adds API access. Paid cards list 4K, no watermark, all AI tools, and a commercial license. Tax is excluded.

One-time token packs unlock the listed Max features and remain valid for 12 months. They can be used individually or by a team.

An older official blog makes broader ownership claims than the current product and pricing pages. We did not locate a governing terms page during this review. Confirm current rights before client or commercial use.

Test the still workflow and the broader suite separately

Start with the same clean 3D screenshot and written direction. Compare camera, crop, massing, openings, repeated elements, material boundaries, entourage, and artifacts. Treat Luw.ai fidelity language as a vendor claim until your scene confirms it.

Then test the reason to choose the broader suite. In Luw.ai, build or import a small floor plan, inspect measurable 3D output, make one brush-selected edit, and verify the required export. In CAD Scene, run Enhance, a named Edit, a second study with the same Composition, and a free 4K upscale.

Record the plan, credits, resolution, watermark, and commercial-rights path used for the accepted output. Do not compare the first image alone.

Useful questions

Is Luw.ai only an architectural rendering tool?
No. Its current suite also covers home redesign, floor planning, editable 3D, 3D asset generation, video, sharing, and API access.
Which tool is narrower?
CAD Scene is narrower by design. It centers architectural still-image studies and keeps Create, Enhance, Edit, Composition, Presets, and render history inside one Project.
Can free Luw.ai output be used commercially?
Current product and pricing copy says Free output is watermarked and non-commercial, while paid plans include a commercial license. Confirm the current governing terms before client use.
