A Study is an independent thread inside a Project. Its Feed stays separate, while every study shares the same project settings.
Studies and shared settings
Use separate studies for different views, options, or review rounds. A project can hold multiple studies without duplicating its Composition.
There are two ways to start one:
- Select New study in the left rail.
- Send from a project that has no study yet. CAD Scene creates one first.
A new study starts as New study. After its first render request, CAD Scene tries to create a short title from that first prompt. If that step fails, the study remains New study and rendering continues normally.
The expanded rail shows each study's name, latest render thumbnail, and recent activity. The collapsed rail shows the same studies as circular thumbnails. Select either form to make that study active.
The active study appears in the URL and controls the center Feed. When no study is selected explicitly, the most recently active study opens.
Changes to Style, Scene, Lighting, Materials, Entourage, or the default model belong to the Project. Every study uses the saved project values on its next send. Learn more in Projects.
Feed and Gallery
The Feed and Gallery answer different questions.
The Feed shows the active study. Each render request becomes a Feed card. Its output images stay grouped with that request. Select another study to see that study's history.
The Gallery shows the whole Project. It gathers completed renders from every study. Opening a Gallery image does not change the active study.
Use Gallery controls to narrow or order the project:
- Select one or more studies, or leave All studies selected.
- Filter by Create, Enhance, or Edit.
- Filter by model or quality.
- Sort the currently loaded results by Most recent or Oldest.
- Open Trash to restore deleted renders.
Gallery fetches up to 20 renders per page, newest-first. Oldest reverses only the results loaded so far. It is not project-wide oldest-first until every page has been loaded with Load more.
The default Gallery excludes renders moved to Trash. Restoring a render returns it to the normal Gallery.
Use the Feed when prompt context matters. Use the Gallery when comparing work across studies. For retries, variations, deletion, and history, read Render actions and history.
