Use as composition
Generate a new five-field Composition from a finished Render and apply selected fields.

Use as composition reads one finished Render and generates a new Composition. You choose which generated fields replace the project settings.
Where to find the action
For a Feed or Gallery tile, open Image actions. Then select Use as composition.
In the Render lightbox, select the icon-only More actions ellipsis at any width. Then select Use as composition.
Apply a Render as the Composition
- Open the actions for a finished Render.
- Select Use as composition.
- Keep checked only the fields you want to replace.
- Optionally save the generated Composition as a new Preset version.
- Review the current cost, then select Use as composition.
The dialog starts with Style, Scene, Lighting, Materials, and Entourage checked. Clear a field to keep its current project value.
AI always reads the finished Render image and generates all five fields. Only the checked fields overwrite the project's current Composition.
Cost and Preset versions
The dialog shows the current credit cost. Use as composition uses the same dynamic rate as Generate Composition from a Project reference image.
If the project has an active saved Preset, the dialog offers a second option. It saves the complete generated Composition as a new Preset version.
This Preset version always contains all five generated fields. It remains complete even when you apply only some fields to the project.
What happens while you wait
Keep the dialog open during both stages. The first stage is Reading the render. AI reads the image and generates the five fields. This can take a little while.
The second stage is Updating the project Composition. CAD Scene saves the checked fields and the optional complete Preset version.
The dialog shows both stages in order. A normal wait during image reading does not mean the action has stalled.
Checkout and retry recovery
If credits block generation, the checkout flow keeps the Render, checked fields, and Preset-version choice. After payment is verified, Continue reopens the same dialog. It does not start generation automatically. Review the restored choices, then select Use as composition again.
If generation succeeds but the project update fails, leave the dialog open and retry. CAD Scene reuses the generated Composition. The retry does not create a second generation charge.
Closing the dialog clears that generated retry state. Reopen it to start a new generation.
Past Renders stay unchanged
The action changes project settings for future work. It does not change the source Render or any earlier Render. Each past Render keeps its stored Composition snapshot and generation details.
